Sharon Stone says she still experiences epileptic seizures and migraines linked to a brain haemorrhage she suffered in 2001, describing effects that have continued even after her recovery.
The 68-year-old actor spoke about her health and career in an interview with ELLE, according to Nieuws.nl. She said stress worsens her symptoms and that she has to take care of herself. She also noted that people may be unaware of, or forget about, invisible disabilities.
Stone said the haemorrhage nearly killed her. After it, she felt film offers disappeared and that she was being punished for her poor health. “At the time, if you were a woman and something happened to you, you had no chance,” she told the magazine, as quoted by Nieuws.nl.
Stone appeared in the HBO series *Euphoria* earlier this year and is due to appear in the films *In Memoriam* and *Speed the Plow*. Her best-known roles include *Basic Instinct* (1992) and *Casino* (1995).
