The UK is set for a mixed weekend on 26–27 September, with sunny spells interrupted by showers in many western areas on Saturday. BBC Weather forecasts periods of rain reaching most areas at some point on Sunday, though it is not expected to rain everywhere all day. Temperatures are forecast to range from roughly 15C in the north to 21C in the south, close to average for late September. [1]
A deep area of low pressure is forecast to approach from the Atlantic next week, bringing windy weather. BBC Weather says it could also bring heavy rain, particularly in the west, while some eastern places may stay dry. [1]

Many drought-affected parts of England and Wales may remain largely dry over the next week. [1]
