Disney+ has approved a reboot of *Glee*, the musical comedy-drama that ran from 2009 to 2015, according to Dutch news site Nieuws.nl. The report says producer Ryan Murphy had been developing an idea to bring the series back, but does not say when the new show might be released.
No cast members have been announced. The original series followed a school choir at the fictional William McKinley High School in Ohio.
Several actors from the original series have since died. Cory Monteith died in 2013, Mark Salling died in 2018, and Naya Rivera drowned in 2020 while swimming with her young son, the report says.
