A sixth man has been released on bail in the RAF Fairford inquiry. Police say two London-area searches have finished, but the investigation continues.

Counter Terrorism Policing said on 3 October that a 25-year-old dual British-Iranian national arrested in Westminster two days earlier had been released on bail. Searches of two properties in the same area have finished, while the investigation into events near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire continues. The man was arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts. [1]
He is the sixth person bailed in the inquiry. Five men arrested near Fairford on 27 September were released on police bail the following day and remained under investigation. Police said those five faced restrictions on their movement and contact with others; they have not specified the later suspect’s bail conditions. [2] [3]
The initial police response followed information including a report of suspicious vehicles near the base. Examinations of three vehicles found no improvised explosive devices, police said, though an unspecified quantity of petrol was recovered. About 85 households were evacuated as a precaution during the early response. [3]
