Dutch singer Marco Borsato says he hopes to return to performing in 2027, but has no concrete plans for new music or concerts yet.
Speaking to reporters outside a Utrecht court on Wednesday, Borsato said he would make no announcements this year and would first see what might be possible next year. “I’m still working everything out,” he said, adding that any project would require careful preparation.
Borsato said he also needs to get fitter and put his criminal case behind him. He was acquitted last December of indecent conduct with a minor. He told reporters he longed to return to the stage and hoped his career could again take centre stage.
His comments came as he sought to recover more than €431,000 in legal costs from the state. Borsato said he would accept the court’s decision, which he expected later this month, and did not want special treatment.
