Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service says an electrical event linked to a lithium-ion battery caused the house fire in Bootle, Merseyside. Its finding followed an investigation with Merseyside Police, BBC News reported. [1]
Elisha Brabin, 36, and her children Leo, 16, Ellis, eight, and Prudence, seven, died after the fire spread rapidly through a house on Stone Square in the early hours of 22 September. [1]
The fire service said it had confirmed the battery as the source of the fire. [1]
